Unfortunately for many homeless persons, even available shelters are not an option. Many homeless have disabilities that have never been diagnosed or treated. Some of these disabilities can turn a homeless shelter into a scary place; whether it's the crowd, the lights, the noise or a fear for one's safety.

In addition, there are many homeless who have their loyal, four legged friends to care after. These loyal companions are not allowed to come into the shelter. These pets are their friends, their security and sometimes their only family;  leaving them behind is not an option.
